Take advantage of your stay at the Résidence du Bailli to combine a relaxing stay with a cultural stay.
The Var has a rare diversity of museums. From Roman antiquity to contemporary art, from maritime history to life in the bauxite or copper mines, from scuba diving to popular arts and traditions – they all relate the history of the region – this blessed land of the French Riviera and Provence. In addition to a fertile natural setting, you will discover art and culture, monuments and tourist sites, discretely integrated into the Var landscape.
The musée national de la Marine in Toulon is located near the Clock Tower of the Arsenal, one of the rare historic sites to have survived the Second World War with its majestic monumental door dating back to 1738. Inside the museum, you can discover the collection of ships and galleys.
The Templar Tower in Hyères is listed as a Historic Monument. It is the ultimate vestige of the Templar Commandery founded in Hyères. After having served several functions, today it hosts temporary exhibitions to be discovered during your cultural stay.
Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary
A spiritual centre hidden in the Cotignac hill, this sanctuary has welcomed pilgrims and their families for over 500 years in order to find a new lease on life by receiving graces and testimony of fecundity. A true part of French history, Our Land of Graces Chapel was built in 1519 after the apparition of the Virgin Mary. During the French Revolution, the buildings and the chapel served as a prison. Restored in 1810, visitors have come ever since. You will enjoy your cultural stay at la Résidence du Bailli.
